About The Room Between & the SHIFT Framework

I've been in that room too.

The Room Between is the space. SHIFT is the map.

Life's transitions do not simply change our circumstances. They reshape our identity, our purpose, our relationships, our work, and the way we move through the world — the personal transitions and the professional ones, the ones we seek and the ones thrust upon us.

The Room Between explores what happens in the space between who we've been and who we are becoming, and how we move through that space consciously and courageously — so we do not simply survive transition, but emerge from it transformed and unapologetically thriving.

Every woman, at some point, arrives in that room. It can look like a career ending, a marriage changing, a child leaving, a diagnosis arriving, a birthday that lands differently than the ones before it. Whatever brings her there, the room itself is the same — unfamiliar, disorienting, scary, and undeniably real.

If you're there now: this is not a waiting room. Not a stall in your story. It is your chrysalis season. The chrysalis doesn't rush you. It simply holds you long enough for you to become who you're already, quietly, becoming. It allows for reflection, releasing, reclaiming — for the quiet reckoning with who you no longer are, or want to be. All of it is real work, even when none of it is visible yet from the outside. All that boldly becoming is happening on the inside, until you emerge unapologetically thriving.

Why Name It

Part of the power of naming this space is that once we can name it, we can begin to recognize it, understand it, and navigate it. Imagine never having a name for menopause — without language for what you're experiencing, it's harder to make sense of it, harder to ask for what you need, harder to move through it with intention. The Room Between names the space, so women can recognize where they are, know they're not alone, and support one another through it.

Why Now

Women are living through transitions on multiple levels at once — the personal (bodies changing, relationships changing, children growing up, parents aging) and the professional (career displacement, career pivots, redefining relationship to work) — while also absorbing the weight of a world that often feels unstable. Women need more than motivation. They need language, reflection, honest conversation, practices, support, and community — so they don't have to move through transition alone.

The Room Between names that space. SHIFT provides the roadmap to navigate it.

The SHIFT Framework

The signature SHIFT Framework is Dr. Nicole's methodology for moving from transitions that simply change your circumstances to transformation that changes who you are. It's the map for how conversations on the podcast are shaped, how coaching moves session to session, and how you can work your own Room Between.

S

Set Your North Star

Before you can move through a transition with intention, you need clarity on who you actually want to be on the other side.

H

Here: You Are Here

An honest, judgment-free look at where you actually stand right now, how you got here and what is holding you here.

I

Illustrate Your Path Forward

How do you close the gap between where you are and where you're headed.

F

Forge Ahead

This is where insight becomes action.

T

Thrive Unapologetically

Not the finish line — the practice of reflecting, recalibrating, and letting yourself actually feel what you've moved through.

The Room Between is the space. SHIFT is how you move through it.

You don't have to figure it out alone
